The French wheaten Marans is a dual-purpose breed originating from the French town of Marans. These chickens are friendly and hardy, suitable for both hot and cool climates. They produce up to 200 dark brown eggs per year. Our breeding program focusses on birds with heavy foot feathering and dark brown egg colour.
